Back from my holiday pilgrimages ...
After a few days in the Perigord, we visited a few highlights of our beautiful France with the following thread, the Camino de Santiago.
Here Valentré bridge, also called Devil's Bridge is a bridge crossing the fortified XIV Lot west of Cahors, which is a step on the road from Le Puy-en-Velay.
L ' abbey of La Sauve-Majeure to Sauve, the Gironde, the Abbey was closed in December 1998 at the UNESCO World Heritage under roads to Saint Jacques de Compostela.
Oiron Castle, north of the Deux-Sevres, built in From the XVI century, the castle was owned by another, the favorite of Louis XIV, Madame de Montespan.
Castle did not seem sheltered pilgrims in search of hospitality, May s symbols of St. Jacques shells, leaves me thinking that the road to Santiago may have been discussed at the time.
